Suitable for those suffering from various chronic cardiac and metabolic health conditions including Type 2 diabetes, etc.
Designed to improve breathing patterns while improving general fitness and strength for those suffering from various chronic respiratory conditions including COPD (emphysema / bronchitis), asthma, pulmonary fibrosis, sleep apnea, bronchiectasis and lung cancer. During the class blood oxygen level, blood pressure, heart rate and breathing are assessed to ensure that exercises are both safe and effective.
We offer a range of membership options to suit your lifestyle, including fixed-term memberships and direct debit arrangements. When you join Club Active, our ‘get started’ sessions for each new member will include two one-on-one appointments with an Accredited Exercise Physiologist (AEP), and an initial health and movement assessment. The second appointment will take you through your personalised exercise program. Our numerous facilities and services include access to exercise physiologists, our allied health clinic, dietitians and physiotherapists. A helpful membership team is available to assist you with understanding the services we offer and how they are covered by Chronic Diseases Management plans from a GP referral on Medicare, the Department of Veterans’ Affairs (DVA), WorkCover, National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) and private health insurance.
