Many Adults With Osteoporosis Feel Unsure What's Safe Anymore

If any of these sound familiar, your Free Healthcare Assessment is the right first step.

"I feel weaker, less stable, or less confident physically."
Simple things like bending down, carrying groceries, walking longer distances, or getting up off the floor can start feeling harder and more uncertain.
"I worry about falling or becoming more fragile."
Many adults with osteoporosis become more cautious with movement because they're scared of injury, fractures, or losing independence.
"I know exercise is important, but I don't know what's actually safe."
It can feel overwhelming trying to figure out what exercises are appropriate, who to trust, and whether you might accidentally make things worse.
"I'm frustrated because I feel like my body is slowing down."
Many people assume feeling weaker or less capable is just part of ageing, but with the right support, strength, confidence, and mobility can often improve significantly.
Why Most People Struggle

You've Been Told To "Just Exercise More" — But Nobody Explained What's Actually Safe For Osteoporosis

Many adults with osteoporosis slowly start becoming more cautious with movement without even realising it.

Avoiding certain lifts Careful on stairs Hesitating with bending Skipping exercise out of fear

Over time, that fear and uncertainty can slowly impact your strength, balance, mobility, confidence, and independence even further.

The frustrating part — most people are never properly shown:
What exercise is actually safe for their bones
How to rebuild strength confidently without fear of injury
How to improve stability and reduce their risk of falls
How to create a plan tailored to their body and stage of life
Where Club Active Comes In
We specialise in helping adults over 50 safely improve strength, mobility, confidence, and bone health with clinically guided support from Exercise Physiologists, Physiotherapists, and Dietitians who understand healthy ageing and osteoporosis.

Lee, 53

Club Active Age: 49

“After years away from the gym I was overweight, high blood pressure, and poor mental health. Club Active changed everything. I’ve lost weight, eliminated my shoulder pain, and my wellness age is now under 50. The best part? They support you every step of the way.”

Sue, 64

Club Active Age: 55

“When I was 58 I was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer, so I had six years of pretty horrific treatments. I decided to do the introductory 6 weeks at Club Active, and I have never in all of my experience, improved so much in just 6 weeks, especially compared to other gyms.”

Jan, 70

Club Active Age: 62

“I had a recent surgery which set me back, and had not been to a gym in a long while – I felt awful and scared about rehabilitation. After joining Club Active, it was like a valve released with relief. I’ve never felt and moved better, and it’s given me the energy to keep up with my grandkids.”

Kat, 61

Club Active Age: 56

“Everything was tailored and guided to me, my goals and my preferences. All the machines told me the exact weight and reps that were suited to me. I have so much more energy than I did before. It means a lot to me to feel good about yourself. Loog good, feel good, and get into life.”

Rob, 65

Club Active Age: 54

“I’d given up on exercise after a bad experience at a regular gym. A mate mentioned Club Active, so I gave the 6-week program a go. The clinicians actually listened, tailored a program around me. For the first time in years I’m moving without constant pain, lost 6kg, and my energy is back.”

Mary, 59

Club Active Age: 48

“After menopause my weight crept on, joints ached, and lost all motivation. I tried other gyms, but Club Active was different from day one. The team understood exactly what my body had been through and built a plan just for me. I’ve dropped two dress sizes and finally feel confident again.”

Common Questions

Everything You Need To Know

No pressure, no sales pitch. Just honest answers to the questions we hear most from adults with osteoporosis.

Yes — completely. There is no cost, no obligation, and no pressure to sign up for anything. It is a genuine 30-minute conversation with a senior clinician to understand your situation and help you figure out the right next step. That is it.
Yes — and for most people with osteoporosis, the right type of exercise is one of the most effective things you can do to improve bone density, reduce fracture risk, and build balance. The key word is "right type." Our ESSA-accredited Exercise Physiologists specialise in designing bone-safe programs that are appropriate for your specific diagnosis, medications, and stage of life.
You will sit down one-on-one with a senior Exercise Physiologist for 30 minutes. They will take the time to understand your osteoporosis diagnosis, your current health, your goals, and any concerns you have about exercise safety. From there, they will walk you through what a tailored clinical plan could look like for you. No pressure. No hard sell. Just honest guidance.
Your GP manages your diagnosis and medication. A physio typically treats a specific injury or symptom. Club Active provides the ongoing, structured exercise program that bridges both — a clinically guided, progressive plan specifically designed to improve your bone health, strength, balance, and confidence over the long term. Our EP, Physio, and Dietitian work together around your full picture.
We have programs at different levels of support and investment. We also work with government-funded pathways including DVA, NDIS, and aged care that may cover part or all of your program cost depending on your eligibility. Your clinician will walk you through all of your options at the assessment — with no pressure to commit to anything on the day.
Absolutely. In fact, this is exactly who we work with most. Many of our members had not exercised for years — and some had never set foot in a clinical environment before. We start where you are, not where we think you should be. Your program is built around your current fitness, your diagnosis, and what feels safe and manageable for you right now.
In most cases, yes — and appropriate exercise is often one of the most important things you can do to reduce the risk of future fractures. Our clinicians are experienced working with adults who have had fractures and will design a program that is safe, appropriate, and progressive for your specific history. Your assessment is the right place to discuss this in full.
No. Every program is designed around what is safe and appropriate for your body, your bones, and your current fitness level. We never push you beyond what is clinically appropriate. Progression is slow, careful, and always guided by your clinician. You are in control at every step.
Depending on your circumstances, you may be eligible for funding through DVA, NDIS, or aged care packages. Some members access our programs at little or no out-of-pocket cost through these pathways. Your clinician will help you understand what you may be eligible for at your assessment.
Usually within a few days. Once you submit your details, our team will be in touch quickly to learn a little more about your situation and book your Free Healthcare Assessment at your nearest Club Active. Spots are limited at each location, so the sooner you reach out, the sooner we can get you started.
